WATER BAPTISM

Congrats on your recent decision to get baptized in water. This public declaration of your faith in Jesus is a big step. So, again congrats!

We will be meeting in the Multipurpose room of the church on Friday, April 18th, the day of the baptism, at 6:00pm to go over the order of the service and water baptism process. The water baptisms will be during the service. Please arrive on time as we have a lot to cover.

Below you will find the instructions and clothing guidelines explaining what to wear and what to bring.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS

1.    Please note that the main prerequisite for water baptism is that you have been born again and have assurance of salvation. (See John 3:3-6, I John 5:13)

2.    In order to be baptized, you will need to first complete the water baptism class.

3.    Each candidate for water baptism must be at least 8 years of age in order to be baptized.

4.    Please wear the clothes that you plan to be baptized in when you arrive at the church on the day of your baptism.
Please be discreet in your attire (wear long black/dark pants and a dark colored top, etc. – no dresses, shorts, skirts, swim suits, or white clothing).
Bring a towel and a change of clothes with you. The church will provide a shirt for you to be baptized in and is yours to keep.

‍5.    Being baptized in water is a very special opportunity for you to share your testimony with your friends and relatives, so we want to encourage you to invite them to attend this event on the day of your baptism.
